Ten years ago today, my bachelor's degree was conferred upon me, in great style, by Mr. George Nigh, president at the time, of the University of Central Oklahoma (oh, how I miss it).
The most memorable moment of the commencement was when Mr. Nigh got up to make his speech and started off with, "where is that young man who walked up to me this evening, gave me a big hug, and said 'I love you, man!' [pause while probably drunken graduate screams out his location]... well, I love you, too, but you're not getting my bud light."
So there you have it. The culmination of my education fulfilled in that moment.
